MEDIATION

 

explore dance offers a variety of approaches to contemporary dance for children and young people. For us, mediation means enabling young people to experience dance - and to do so in different ways. Our focus is on opening up artistic processes, facilitating an exchange at eye level between young audiences and artists, and exploring alternative ways of engaging with, thinking about and sharing a theme. Seeing dance, talking about what we have seen, asking questions and dancing ourselves - we try to make all this possible through our programme and thus make dance an art form that can be experienced in its many facets. Our education formats are aimed at children from the age of 5, young people and teachers. Pupils have the opportunity to participate directly in the development of dance productions in various formats, to attend performances and to gain a variety of experiences beyond the piece in pre- or post-performance workshops and discussion formats.
